Replaced the petcock on my 82 Honda and installed a center stand on my V-Strom today. Both jobs were fairly easy and didn't take long.

Well, I had my nose done yesterday, the Doc fixed a deviated spec-tum and cleaned a deep infection out of my sinuses. Not much pain but still bleeding a little. In my younger days, my nose was broken three different times, each time I "popped" it back into place myself causing the problem I guess. My Doc said a doctor would have fixed it right had I gone and seen one. I'll be out of work a few day, at least until the bleeding stops. Too bad I'm stuck in the house, it's nice and warm, a good day to go for a ride!

It looks like my main 2017 trip will be to the Southwest this year with a fast as possible trip across Kansas, a few days in Colorado, New Mexico, Nevada, and Arizona. Time permitting, maybe a quick trip to SoCal.

There is also talk about Bonneville for Speed Week and I wouldn't mind another trip up to Davenport for the swap meet and vintage races. It's been a few years since I've been to either.

A few months ago I bought a 2012 Suzuki V-Strom 650 ABS Adventure. The bike was a steal at $4000 out the door with only 2466 miles. The bike is stock with Suzuki panniers and engine guard, although I did lower it an inch. I plan on using this as my solo bike from now on, should save on gas, and depreciation on my Ultra Limited. I do miss the cruise control and radio when on the V-Strom, but until 2007, I never had radio or cruise on a bike for 30 years. Damn I'm getting old!
